Sushi Making at Times Square

American Adventure in NYC and Chicago

Last month I traveled to NYC and Chicago.   I love visiting NYC especially going to a couple of Broadway shows.  I caught Michael C Hall in Hedwig and the Angry Inch then Idina Menzel in this new musical called If/Then.   Both delved in topics of interest.  One gave me ideas for my own one man show.  The second was more spiritual based and story revolved on two different parallels from a certain moment and what would happen if one chose a different path. Intertwining you saw two different paths and what the outcome could be for either..

As for my own one man show nothing new to report just inspiration and taking my time in getting that going.   I am going to be taking a year to teach English in Beijing while working on the one man show and getting myself to LA.  So future newsletters will either be about my adventures teaching English or my acting for the year of 2015.

When traveling to NYC.   You can find discount tickets at TKTS in Times Square (on the side close to where Hershey is a block away) for Broadway shows.    Also some shows have people handing out flyers with discount codes to their shows as well.  You may find a better deal.   Times Square is a great place to visit as you never know what is going on!

An Adventure Outside of Acting

Holding Aladdin's Lamp! So when living in London a friend of mind had in his house this lovely Aladdin's Lamp. How ironic that I be fitted to Disney's Aladdin image likeness from my first newsletter!

First off Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!  A personal achievement for me recently was passing TEFL certification course to teach English abroad.   I figure it couldn’t hurt even though acting is my number one passion.  Next best thing is an English Teacher!

While I work on my one man show which is ever changing and improving  this month am answering a question from a fellow VIP.   What is/are your goal/s for 2014-2015?  I prefer to set intentions more so than goals.   Currently I am working on O1 Visa for the US so I can live and work in LA by summertime.   In meantime I am working on my one man show and looking at adventuring from Switzerland in the New Year utilizing my new found TEFL certificate and looking at opportunities in acting outside of Hollywood.  Maybe Bollywood perhaps?  .   .

This past year has been challenging for me losing some people I love.   If you know someone or you yourself are facing challenges in any area of your life; know you are not alone.   Recently I have been listening to some Hay House audios that I downloaded and catching up.  One of them is a guy named David Kessler who has this great website if ever you are looking for help.  Not just someone who died but could be other areas of life.  Visit Grief !

Happy to hear from you either a comment or questions and share tips you might find useful for my wonderful VIP’s here!

Happy Monday and Labor Day for those in North America.  My the summer goes by quickly.  I have been having an interesting month of August and spending time plus helping my dad out.  Reliving my childhood really and going through the things left behind by my grandparents 20 years ago.  Spending time in the family home in Valle part of Airolo municipality.  It was like it was yesterday when I was 7 and in the house with them.

Another update on my one man show that I am currently been working on.  I am planning a trip to New York in October and looking forward to making connections and collaborations too.   I have so many ideas for my show including adding in my own created song lyrics.  Next month will share what is called a “pitch” for my show.

Now this month I choose the topic of Following the Unknown Road.   Some people just like to follow the road given and what is safe.  What if you were to try a road not tested and one that you decide what you want?   Take a road that is unknown and break the fear of what tomorrow may hold.  Trust that the universe will provide.   Just ask clearly what you desire.  Listen or watch for clues that may pop up.  Sometimes an advert or a person will show up just when you need it most.

Seeing a New Part of the World

The Prague Astronomical Clock taken July 2014 in Prague, Czech Republic.

Last month I dipped into the realm of traveling to the Czech Republic for my cousins wedding in Pilsen and went a few days before to visit Prague.   Prague is an interesting place to visit with rich historical European influence.   As you can see in the photo. I visited a popular attraction the Prague Astronomical Clock.   During the day huge crowds gather to watch a 2minute show.

I have been busy working on my one man show “Confessions of a Pear-Shaped Pupil” and is shaping up.  I even am not focusing on it being just a one man show but potential for something bigger.  Details will come soon.

Have you traveled in your own city or to some other place?   Being a tourist in your own city or visiting somewhere else is a good way to have wonderful adventures and opening the senses.   You never know what inspiration can come when you travel and who you may meet.   So go on an adventure!

Happy August!

Aladin aka Andrew Mondia. Gotta Keep!!…

So the question I ask is Am I Aladdin?   I am a huge Disney fan and when I was browsing on a site called fiverr.com I found a seller who could draw you into the likeness of a Disney character.  So I went for it and the result is what you see.   So unexpected!

I am finally working on my one man bio show “Confessions of a Pear-Shaped Pupil” and have completed a second draft.   I have big plans for a fall performance in the US.   Details TBA.

So I talked about fiverr.com and some maybe aware of it and others may not.  It’s a great place to find great deals on outsourcing some of your needs.   Anything from silly things like doing a drawing or business related like designing a flyer.  Check it out Fiverr!
